Is 77 Row Crop a good puller??

Hi, I found a 77 row crop for sale in my area and my dad and I were just toying with the idea of making it a puller. Not destroying it but is there any ideas of what we could do to it to make it pull worthy?? and also what classes would we be trying to pull in?? is this a good tractor to make into a puller?? The tractor pulling association in my area has vintage classes right up to 10,500 pro stock..and 16,500 out of field stock class, but I was thinking maybe pull in the 5500 or 6500 classes?? The big classes the pullers put way too much money into the tractors and they're not in it for fun but in it to see who can put the most money into the tractor...I was just thinking of a way for some good fun. Anyone make one of these into a puller?? I'm open to any feed back...I know there's lots of info about this out there. Thanks. Also, the guy wants $3500 for it, it looks good, has hydraulics and pto...good tires...good paint...all decals...I assume runs good haven't caught him at home yet to find out though, is it a fair price? thanks for everything

Darren, i hope i didn't leave the wrong impression.

the 77 does indeed make a good puller. when i said "fair" in the prior post, i intended that in complimentary fashion. most of the fleetline series tractors (66, 77, 88, 99) have reputations of making good pullers in their respective classes.

question here was not one of quality, but of price. you can find 77s out there way cheaper than the one you have a line on.

the 77 makes a fair puller, IMHO.

however, the price you've got here is way high, again IMHO. if it were FULLY RESTORED with dual hydraulics, factory original 3-pt hitch, and wide front it might command that price on a good day, but i doubt it.

nice 77s should run well under $3k.

77 makes a dgood puller-3500 thur 5000# even in stock form.
