I'm a cross-over from the Ford board, looking for info on a Oliver #355 Sicklebar Mower I picked up from a friend. Does anyone have color info? Old manuals or specs? I have it running now, works well, just looking for more info to put it back into good shape. Thanks in advance.

I am not aware of a model 355 mower. There were two three point hitch mowers, model 351 that had a counterbalance drive for the sickle, and a 356 the had a pitman sickle drive. In any event, they were both painted Meadow Green. These mowers were last built in the very early 70's. There were earlier models, however they had two digit model numbers.

This unit has the counterballanced drive, short connecting rod to the knife ball. It matches pictures I've seen on a brochure for a model "355", so hopfully I've getting it right. Thanks for the info.

I have a sales brochure on 355 mower. It shows on the Super 55, so you're looking at the mid to late 50's on when it was made. The color would be the same as the Super series tractors.
