Just a Dumb question, but what will happen to the Super 55 when General Mills is done with it? Will some corporate exec. take it home for the kids to play on or auctioned off to a loving home?

To tell you the truth no one really knows, not even General Mills. I have contacted several folks associated with the display and they say one it will be retired. Timeline unknown.

That said I have tried to locate an MN based Oliver club needing a static display, also tried a few high schools. No luck so far. Been kicking around the idea of contacting FLOYD COUNTY MUSEUM to see if they could use a static display but really haven't done much on that front. I was originally trying to buy the whole rig and only got some parts of it before MOA bought it for their display. Mr. Randy G. of Hastings, MN was the owner before MOA.

I would love to have it!! However, I am sure they have it welded tite to avoid potential litigation. I suspect it would never run again, JMHO.

I write to them about about every 3-4 months just checking in. Trying not be a pest but letting them know folks appreciate their efforts. If they do not sell it for scrap it will probably end up in a warehouse somewhere collecting dust then sold or scrapped when the warehouse is shutdown.

If I ever find out I will post the news.
