Fender tanks?

I'm putting a 2-150 cab on my 2255, and wonder if any 2-150 cabs had fender tanks? I would like more fuel capacity than just the main tank. Did the 2-150 only have an aux tank down on the right frame rail where the 2255 batteries are?

Take a look at a White 2-105 they have a fuel tank on the underneath side of the cab.

To make this work you would have to remove your battery tray to put the fuel tank and associated brackets that place. Remove your original 2255 steps and install a steps off of a 2-105. These steps have a battery box in the top step.

The white 2-105 has a similiar transmission case and brakes as your 2255. A White 2-135 or 2-155 might have same side fuel tank and brakets, but I am not sure because they changed the transmission cases to accomidate inboard planetary gears.

I think the steps off of a white 2-105 are the same clear up to the White 195 workhorse and should work on your 2255.

Hi, Jim! Sorry, no fender tanks were available with the 2-150 factory cab. They were available as an option on the open-station models. Depending upon your wheel clearance and spacing, it may be possible to fabricate a good-looking set of fuel tanks that could be mounted against the outer sidewalls of the cab, below the factory wheelguards. Just a thought! Merlin

Thanks for the info. In comparing the cab tanks of the 2255 with the 2-150, there would not be enough room for much of a tank. I guess I'll have to look at a different location to add fuel capacity.
