I was wondering if anyone has ever used a Oliver baler? Where they any good?

Pounded out about 150 with that 720 Missed about 3 in the begining every one OK after that.

I had a 60T and a 60W. Both were very good balers. Around 1972 I bought a new NewHolland 273 and was disappointed that it didn't have the capacity of my old olivers.

We still use a 62T. Besides breaking the needles from time to time and the knotters going out once, we have had trouble free use its whole life. Been a good baler for us.

I hope the Oliver balers are OK. I picked up a 720 last year on auction with a broken Knotter for $20 and a junk 520 for $15. A lot of the parts are interchangable. The 720 has a lot of the same parts as a Hesston also. I got a few parts from "Rick's Agri parts" Its 98% back together and I plan to bale with it in just a few weeks. I'll either have something to brag about or kick myself in the butt for spending all that time on an old baler.

I had an Oliver 50T and thought it was great. Parts were hard to find, so when then gear box went so did the baler.

I had a 62T and absolutely loved it. It did not need all sorts of adjustments for light windrows or heavy windrows, the feed mechanism is very efficient and it made a good bale every time.Many of the knotter parts are the same as New Holland. The head is a bit narrow for following todays big combines and mine had the short tongue which was n
not desirable. Those are my only complaints.
I believe it would outperform the 565 New Holland that I had and the bales were much more uniform.

Have a 720 that was bought new and still in use except for minor repairs been a very good machine
