60 oliver wide front end information

I thought I would ask again for those that missed my question the first time. My father purchased a 60 oliver rowcrop that has a wide front end. How rare is this tractor with the wide front end. Any applicable information would be helpfull, i.e. production rates, etc.

There were only about 800 of the original factory wide front 60s built. All of the original ones I have seen have been from 1947 & 1948. Check the serial number tag on the engine, and if the wide front is original to that tractor, there will be a "B" suffix after the serial number. Many of these have been changed, or added to tractors that they did not originally come on. Either way, they are a fairly rare and very desireable tractor to have.

Thanks for the information on the oliver 60 rowcrop with the wide front end. The serial number is 619490B, and based on your information is an original wide front end tractor. Would you know how many would be still around and what the value is?

There are still many of these tractors around, as most weren't used for heavy field work. Value depends on condition of the tractor, but I have seen the wide front end only sell for 1500-2000. Add in a reasonable tractor, and it should be from 2500-3000 unrestored, if in good condition.
