Theres a guy around here selling a Oliver 1955 WF with duals and a cab and I am not what you would call a "die hard" oliver fan, as I am an IH guy, I like Olivers look! I was thinking about buying it but I am not sure on the year or price and just wondering if anyone could tell me how many hp they have,what to look for, and all that other stuff! IF you could help that would be really really great! Thanks Scott

We have a 1955 Oliver and we pull a 20ft disk and it pulls it beautifully. WHAT EVER YOU DO DONT TURN THE FUEL PUMP UP ANY...my ucnle turned it one turn and it blew up. but that was 25 years ago and it the engine was replaced right away and it is still a kick a** tractor...not to Mention the 5 inch CHROME PIPE on her

I think It could easily pull that disk. I have a 14ft John deere disk and my 1755 can pull it in red clay in NE Wisconsin. Same engine, just not turbo charged or turned up. (not yet, anyway)

I have a 1955. It has a 310 engine with a turbo. It is rated at 108 hp. I pull a JD 1600 chisel with 12 sweeps and also use a 20ft JD 1010 field cultivator (not at the same time, of course). My 1955 does not have duals, but it has a cab. I've been well pleased with its performance. Depending on the type of soil you have, I think you could pull the disk.
