Howdy,..

I added a Photo of my Oliver 1855 to the Photo Gallery. I have had a lot of folks ask how it looked, and I have asked for enough advice on doing stuff to it, so there it is.

Just go to the YT Photo Gallery and it is listed there, and Thanks to everyone who posted advice over the past 9 months on it for me!

Cowboy, did you redo your ROPS cab both inside and out? The tractor looks great, especially the cab. I'm in the process of redoing my ROPS cab on my 1955. I'd appreciate any redo advice, especially interior work. Also, a picture or 2 of the inside of the cab would be nice to see. Thanks, RB

Howdy,... You just clean it as needed, wire brush it, and tape up the rubber around the windows.

Just clean it good and paint it inside and out. Clover White. The new headliner is expensive from AGCO, (Around $200.00) but you can use some really heavy weight carpet padding to use. Really cheap!

But you have to remove the cab top to put it in correctly, so it blocks up the air flow. Otherwise it doesn't take air through the heater core, just around it.

There are 4 bolts that hold it on, 2 in the front inside facing upward, and 2 in the rear facing upward. Then you need something to lift the cab roof off.

The headliner is glued to the roof, and you can put carpeting on it facing downward. Makes it nice and quieter. You can glue carpeting to the inside of the cab on the fender wells and make nice armrests,...

But it is not advisable if you are working the tractor. It's hard to clean, but looks really nice.

Just fix the wiring as needed, and do what ever else that needs to be done. Really makes it look good, and then you will have a sharp looking interior.

Hope this info helps.

Did you get the clover white paint from AGCO or from one of the internet web sites? Also, did you use the paint just like it was or mix it with white paint like someone said on this Oliver board a month or two ago? Thanks, RB

Actually, The paint is AGCO paint from the dealer,.. and I used it right from the can. I used a Wagner Airless Sprayer (Not the best sprayer) but it works well for tractors and implements.

I would not want to paint a mirror finish on a Corvette, but makes a good shiny covering for tractors. And anyone can use one.

Hey Cowboy, I'm the guy who you gave advice & info. to on 1755, 1855, & 1955's. Haven't bought one yet but have been looking at a few. Your 1855 looks fantastic. I also think you should post pics of the interior. I was disapointed that you did'nt respond to my posting on the 1755 with a cummins. Guess you've been busy too. Get back to me when you can. Thanks.

Hey,..

Sorry I didn't respond the ypour posting on the 1755 with a cummins, but I can't really say either way, as I don't have any first hand experience with that conversion.

I figured that I would let it to the fellas who know about such things, like Shep !!!! He has done a few and seems to be King of them swaps !!!

I will get around to getting some pics of the interior soon,.. I hope,... Been really busy building around here on my 100 acres of wilderness. Have a Big Garage with house atop under construction (32x60) and a seperate house for my mother (28x46) and a camp for a friend to stay in (14x24) and all the other stuff related to living in the country.

And now with spring finally starting to arrive, and snow melting, (Had 6 inches the other day) I am looking to restore a few more tractors and make some $$$$ to finish my other projects.

Time is very precious around here. Seems like the sun comes up, and then goes down way too quick most days.
