Bought an 1850 D today and it has mostly diesel in the crankcase, I knew this when I bought it , it starts well has good oil pressure for what it is worth with all that diesel in there. It also has the swept back front end. Got it for 2585$. Anyway I pulled the transfer pump off and it looks like the diaphram is good, I am thinking that the drive shaft seal on the inj pump is leaking , have anyone seen this before. Thanks John Mann

worn or dirty injectors could cause that problem as well.
good luck

that is fairly common and quite easy to fix- just get a new seal and tip your pump over and put it in. mark your timing when you remove the pump. the main drive has a master spline so you ccant get that part wrong. good luck!
