1855 engine replace?

Which engines will fit right in an 1855? How much work is it to put the Cummins in, and what do the Cummins cost? Can they be found?

I have an 1855 with the Waukesha, I'd like to put that engine in my 1755 gas tractor and replace the 1855 engine.

We have talked about this a bunch on this site, check the forum archives for lots of good information on Cummins Conversions. The Cummins conversions work good in Olivers if they are installed correctly. It takes some time and you have to get the 5.9L set up correctly to go in. I have done several conversions and no two are quite the same, depending on the engine you get and the tractor you put it in. I just converted an 1855 about 6 months ago, so I can tell you pretty much what all is involved if you want. Cost will be somewhere between 7 to 10 thousand depending on what all you do to it and how reasonable you get your engine bought. I have an outlet for new and used cummins engines if you need one.
