Did Oliver buy Minneapolis Moline,or did White buy MM? What year did they buy it?

BTW We had a Oliver 88 It was a older 88 it had the PTO lever on the left side of the seat. Some had it on the right side. Was this a option,or because i was older?

My 1949 88 row crop has the p.t.o. on the left, it was built very early that year, and Oliver moved the p.t.o. lever to the right hand side on all tractors built soon after. My 88 has Fleetline styling.

White bought Moline in 1963, they bought Oliver in 1960.

White bought MM. Can't rember what year though. That pto lever on the left side is because it was older. I don't think many production 88's had that. I do think it was limited to the odl style 88's (70 style sheet metal)
