2-70 white w/factory cab

Anybody ever seen a 2-70 with factory cab, air, and heat like on the 2-85's and 2-105's? Just wondering because I've seen a lot of 2-70's but never w/ the factory cab and I think this would make an excellant tractor to pull my roll baler with.

Hi, Brian! Actually, White did not offer a factory cab on the 2-70. I wish they would have, because they are great little tractors! There are two ways to solve this problem. The first way is to install a factory cab off of a 2-85/2-105. You will have to open up the floor pan to clear the hydraulic filter housing, make new axle mounts, and close up the space around the cowl and steering column. It can be done, and made to look proper. The second way is to install a factory cab off of a White American 60 or 80. These may be difficult to find. The American tractors had a final drive similar to the 2-70. Either way, it would make a sharp looking little machine! If you really want it fancy, paint it black and silver, and install the newer Workhorse decals with the colored hash marks. That is what I like about the White tractors: if they have a professional repaint job, they still look like a modern machine, even if they are 25 years old. The Feild Boss styling is a rather timeless design. A lot of folks miss the old Oliver green and white, but I have a fancy for the silver tractors, myself. They're cool! Best wishes! Merlin

I like the silver ones too. That is until Agco decided to sell a silver Allis and then a silver Massey. We have one of the last "White" tractors--a 1992 170 Workhorse. Now there is no silver at all unless you count the letters on the orange tractor. What customers White Motor didn't run off Agco will. My 2 cents.

That's what I thought since I've never seen one, but I guess a feller could dream. Your right the White's are a sharp tractor. Sorry oliver fans.

I've never seen one but I think the easiest thing to do would be to buy a 2-85 with a factory cab. We have one on our farm as our main workhorse. We bought it new in 1981 and know it has 6800 hours and has never been overhauled or nothing. It has been a very good tractor. By the way I love oliver and white tracors.

I kinda like to hear the old 283 wakashaw engine pur. My 1650 Oliver sounds so sweet I was just wanting a newer version with a cab.

You dont have to feel sorry about saying Whites are sharp, because they are basically a gray Oliver. Like the 2-70 is just a gray 1650. I do wish they would have stayed green though, but oh well!
