2255 Oliver,.. 3208 vs 3150 (Same as 1150 or 1160?)

Does anyone know if the Cat engines used in the Oliver 2255's (3208 or 3150 Cat) were the same engines called the Cat 1150 or 1160 engines????

The 3208 and the 1160 have the same stroke, Bore, heads, Etc,.. And the 3150 has the same stroke, bore, heads as the 1150,...

They look identical... Any known diffrence??? Have heard both ways,.. But no one is that knowledgable around here!

I'm looking for a 2255 with a blown motor, and think I found one,.. And I have a 1160 cat engine from a Ford 8000 Truck. Not sure if it will fit.

Any Ideas????

They will all fit in a 2255.The bigest differance is the govener in the truck engine is a overspeed govener and the tractor engine is a real full fuction govener.

Can the Governor from the Tractor engine be put into the truck engine?

Yes its part of the injector pump.You have to switch pumps or get someone to rebuild the truck one with the parts from the other.
