I just went though my 1550 Utility this winter, rings, bearings, injectors and head. Also rebuilt the Hydra-power new clutches, steels and all seals, new output sprocket, new input sprocket and new transmission mainshaft (and bearings). Before the work she was low on power and slow starting, now with decent power. The transmission jumps out of gear. It did it some before the work now it's worse. Before 5th was unusable as it would always jump out, occasionally 4th. with more power it was happening in all gears except 1st and 2nd.(did not put a heavy load on it in first and 2nd, just up and down the driveway) I have pulled the poppet block and slightly strected the springs and added a shim under the springs, the shift rail detents look good, the detent balls look good. After all this it seems to stay in gear in everything except 5th now (can't check 6th as still need tire chains on her). It seems to be the center rail that is jumping out of gear,(hi-lo). Any inexpensive ideas or information on the free lenght of the springs and what there rating should be. Thanks
