Hello,Thanks to all that have been helping me with my efforts to get my standard 60 going. I found a starter in TX and installed it. The bolts were a little loose (see below). I was out under a trouble light till the wee hours this morning working on my new 6v to 12v conversion, also added electronic ignition and a voltmeter and an alternator. The kit was from Genesee and went in in a snap. Cranked like no tomorrow. Here is one for you I'll bet you've never heard before. I cranked the starter no more than about 5-10 seconds at a time. About the third time doing this the starter blew off of the tractor. No I mean it, in a shower of sparks, it literally blew off of the tractor and sat there hanging by the power cable. So today I will have to find out if it was a dead short (did I kill the starter), or did those pesky bolts give way. Anyway, just thought I would update everyone who has been helping and many thanks. I'll let you know how it goes. Best regards, Hans Garry
