I know the originals are rare as he11. Silly me I bought a 4340 trailer plow and transport disk. I put the horse before the cart. Anyhow, I called Maibach today looking for some brakes and asked if they had an entire 550 drawbar assy.

KNOCK ME DOWN !! Yes, we do offer aftermarket drawbar fashioned after the original and the cost is $150 for complete assy.

Anyone out here have one of these? Looking for a picture since Marlin (parts rep) didn't have one and could not refer me to one on the net. I know I need one soon. I am strongly considering one unless y'all can tell me why not to buy one. Comments and pics welcome.

i have 2 of the original drawbars leaning on the tractor shed, and one on a parts tractor in the snowbank out back. anyone interested? located in west-central michigan. the whole outfit would consist of the swinging drawbar, the 550 4 hole bracket, and the hangers. also have a set of bolt-on brackets to fit on the super 55 axle. e-mail, or call in the evening 231-689-1015 thanks, ron

Just got home tonight. Will definitely get you both some pics before the end of the weekend. Bare with me. I shoot video, then have to sweet talk my "boss" (the wife) into getting them into the computer for me. My 550 has a really nice flat plate below the pto where the drawbar assy attaches. My Super 55 has two separate brackets. The 550 was drilled and tapped whereas the Super 55 was not.

Obrien Co Imp. did have some new old stock brackets that bolt under the trans. case. They may have the swinging drawbar also. Call Tom at 1-800-320-6224

Shep - I have the original swinging drawbar assembly that came with my 550. If that is what you are interested in, I can e-mail you a picture. My 550 was my first Oliver, I thought I got a really good deal on her, then, I've come to find out what the swinging drawbar and remote valve are worth. Let's just say I'm all smiles...

I would love to have pics of that setup also. I too and missing that drawbar for our 550. We talked with Maibach about a month ago. They said that have TWO different drawbar assemblies available. If I remember correctly the one your speaking of ($150) was not recommened. He suggested the heavy duty model with was right at $200. He said if your going to use your tractor that is the way to go. Vince -
Bring it on!! I have been scouring bone yards across the country and been unsuccessful so far. I would like pics of your entire rig if not asking much.

This winter I bought some pull type implements and trying to retrofit my 550 Dsl to accomodate them. As such I am considering aftermarket parts to get functional. I am cautiously optimistic about what MAIBACHs has to offer.

I wish I had thought to check for the drawbar and remote hyd. when I bought the rig. I was fortunate enough though to get all the "parts" for a little AC D-10 I bought last summer.

PS - Did I say I am jealous? Extremely jealous!!

I think I have a 550 oliver, but I am not possitive. It looks exactly like some of the 550s I'VE seen. I have on the back a three point hitch. I am new to the tractor world. Don't know difference between that and a draw bar. I would like to see a picture myself. On another note, I need some help, my oliver has a front loader on it and I am having problems finding seals for hyd.cylinders. What should I do? don't know what model loader it is. Looks like part of original tractor that would have had a backhoe that would mount directly to loader frame in back.
