My Oliver 1855 is a 1974 year model, with a cab. I just adjusted the parking brake, as the travel was too much in the handle. Now it works good and keeps the tractor from rolling down the hill.The pedal brakes work fair, but one side (Left side) doesn't want to lock up, like when cornering sharply. I tried bleeding them at the brakes, and get a good stream of fluid on the right side with no air, but just a little fluid on the left side, still no air. This makes me believe that maybe the valve is out of adjustment or something? I checked to make sure the bleeder screw was not plugged. May be worn linings on the discs? But the flow diffrence makes me believe it is a pressure problem. Anyway, I would like to know if the brakes should lock the wheels? Also, how can you check the pressure at the brakes? Maybe a quick adjustment??? Also,..... .... When the brakes are applied, should that stop the hydrolics from working an implement? When I hold the brakes on, the cylinder to an implement or 3pt hitch won't work till I release the brakes a bit?
