1655 1650 Excellent Condition Auction Prices

1655G & 1650G Olivers sold at an auction this morning just west of Des Moines. Both were in excellent shedded condition, original equiptment, 1 owner, owner's manuals included. There were no oil leaks and when they started right up without even having to crank those smooth running Oliver gas engines harmonized like a couple of sewing machines. 1965 Oliver 1650 gas 5500h sold for $4,150;
1975 Oliver 1655 gas 2477h sold for $6,700;

IN the rain took a fast look at a 1600 lp tricycle
frount, good straight tractor, good paint,
new rear tires, frount is knee deep too. I am a lp
fan, usually IH by flavor. But the tank caught my eye, and had to stop. This looks like too good a tractor not to have a home at some Dyed-in-the-Wool Oliver mans barn. She is at Capital City Oliver in Austin,TX

How is that Dealership? I worked most of the summer in Austin and always passed it on my way to & from airport. Never had time to stop and see what they had. Will be going back this spring for follow up work in Austin - hoping to stop in.

FWIW attended auction 1 year ago NW IA 1975 1655, DSL, very nice condition, sans cab, sold for $6400

Auction yesterday near Cherokee IA 1550 8094 hrs, gas, a little bit beat up from daily farm using, pulling feeder wagon, etc. sold for $2225. Thought it was a bit low, but gas, high hours.
