I plan to paint my 1755. I'm looking for lower cost but decent paint in both the white and green. Any suggestions? Also what color should the dubble faced hubs and the 10" extensions for the duals be? All I want to do is sand it smooth and paint over. Thanks,

Adam, we have a 1755 and a pair of 1955's and we get our green paint from tractor supply for around 19.00 a gal. and it lasts from 7 to 8 years in the field on work tractors, and for the clover white we take gloss white and mix some of the green in until we satisified with the shade. this system has worked for us for the last 25 years. by the way did you ever see a new Oliver come off the show room floor with a mirror finish on it? they always looked nice, but I never seen one with a mirror finish. Ken

I talked to Shep, who rebuilt a couple of Olivers, and he gets his Clover White right from AGCO. I'm not sure if you know this or not, but Clover White is a real light green. Some people painted thier Olivers with gloss white, which isn't the right color.

I would try Martin Seynor Cross Fire paint. It is sixty dollars a gallon and I thing that it does a better job than their 120 dollar paint. They have the exact colors for it on paint sticks and if you put hardner in it you will get a beautiful job.

What would the color code for the Martin Seynor white be, for a 1650.

The codes for a 1650 are:
Clover White 53A 4331
Meadow Green 53A 3751

The dealer should have a stick with the colors on it for you to look at. It has oliver at the top.
