Oliver paint scheme 66, 77, 88 and super series

I am new to Olivers. In my farming career I owned 11 Farmalls, 1 Cockshutt, 1 John Deere and 1 Massey Ferguson. Those decissions were made on dealer service and perceived strength of dealer, and that was commercial farming. This is not. I know where there are a couple of Olivers. I love that Green, Yellow and Red. From what I have read, Oliver paint schemes changed from year to year. I also gather this is a touchy subject if you get it wrong. I know, most of you are going to say I've had it wrong for years. I wont mind a laugh at my expence. I just want some advice on how to paint an Oliver

Hugh,
I like the colors on the Super 88 like this.
The wheels were green when it was bought new ('57)
and the owner repainted them clover white.

Lee: That tells me the colours to use, and that was helpful. Thanks. I am now interested where to put what. For example: the yellow on the grill is different on supers from regular 66,77,88 etc. I beleive that, (I stand corrected if wrong) the wheels on the non supers were all red. In the super series some of the wheels were red, some green and some were white, depending on the year. I picked up much of this by reading, on oliver sites. I am not sure on this one yet. Time for some discussion

I have never seen white wheels on a Super from the factory, that started with the 3 digit tractors. The early supers had green wheel's then in late 56 or early 57 they where painted red. All of the pre 3 digit tractors grills were painted yellow to my knowledge. The center strip on the grill was red on the early tractors and on the super's it was green if I remember right. Maybe Bastar can shed some more light on the subject.

The very first supers had red wheels.oliver changed to green wheels as an in production change ,which ment when they ran out of red they switched to green.Like said above they whent back to red all at once in 57.The center piece in the grill should match the wheels.When oliver changed to green wheels they allso changed the supplier of the paint.It was supposed to be the same color,but some say the color is slighly differant.Later when the new style tractors came out the shade of green changed again.
