i have a choice of all 3 tractors for teh same money. i can buy them a piece for around $7000. teh 1655 needs the over/under rebuilt but other wise good tractor has oliver diesel in it new tires and such. then i can ge the 1950 with detriot which seems to be a good running tractor, i have seen this thing toss dirt around and even run it a time or two. needs new tires and a muffler(yeah right!) its a row-crop has cab but not sure what kind. and then theres the 2150 it has a mfwd on the front big wide tires on rear and seems to want to run away with my 10' chisle plow. what is the weight of the tractors and which one would be a better deal? we had a 1950 when growing up and we could pull away from a deere 4430, both pulling 5-16's. we would plow late in to the night and i would love watching the falme junp from the stack of that ol' girl. people would always know who it was plowing that day and night. used to have a 1655 with 1610 sub loader on it we used to feed with. but if yall could help me i would greatly appriciate the help gettng me back into the Oliver family....(btw we own around 2400 acers so this will be no yard tractor).

the 1655 is way too high we got a nice 1950 for 5000 it was a one owner the 2150 is ok unless the engine has a lot of hours and you can drop a fortune in one of these, there are several of these around at this price

I'd feel guilty getting that 2150 so cheap.

John, the FWA 2150 is way the best buy at $7,000.They are a horse and are a pretty rare tractor.A year ago at a farm sale I paid $5,000 for a real nice 1967 1950 with duals so $7,000 is a little steep for the 1950.The 1655 sounds overpriced.

if you can get a 2150 in good shape for $7000 then you have a steal. our 1955 cost us $9000 a little under a year ago. $7000 for a 1655 that needs work seems a bit steep to me but that could be a market difference. i say anytime you can get a bigger tractor for the same price then go big. as tim allen would say, "you always need a little more power!"

I own a 1950 and have figued out that bigger is better I would go with the 2150 , that is a good price on it in my opinion.
