Call me a dummy i'll take it, I put new cables on and bound the fuel shutoff about 1/3 off ( killswitch)any way removed all the goodies tank etc monkeyed with it noticed fuel rack was not traveling all the way in. Work the kill lever in and out noticed it was holding it back. Made adjustments replaced all the goodies fired up like a champ. I was pulling 4/14 plow last sunday kindof dissapointed, ready to try it again. Also fixed some oil leaks and purchased a muffler, waste of money but oh well. Thanks for all advice J Mann

Just goes to show- posting mistakes can help others- I've got a tractor that suddenly doesn't want to start- no fuel. I knew there was a kink in the shut-off cable, but had been just reaching down and pulling back the lever with my hand. I was getting ready to tear everything apart to try to find the problem, but your post now makes me wonder if I haven't just got a kink in the shutoff cable such that it's pulling closed even with the knob all the way in. Will check tonight (am at work today).

Glad to hear it was a simple fix. We've all had stuff like that happen.I sort of thought it wasnt getting enough fuel. Our old 1950 used to pull 6x16's in high 4th with bigger injectors. You could hear that little 4-53 for (8-10) miles when we plowed after dark.We rarely ever ran the muffler.Me,my brother, and my Dad should have all went deaf.Half the neighbors loved the 1950 and half of them hated it.
