I just purchased this tractor. It is in excellent shape with only 3400 hrs. I'm having a difficult time sourcing a full set of manuals for this unit. I'm also having a hard time understanding the relationship that this unit may have had with Oliver, MM, White.

Any help would be appreciated.

A 4x4 is a little unusual but very handy. THe 1255 is a nice litle machine. Allis and Fiat started sharing tractors which caused Oliver to drop them. I get parts for my sister's 1355 from the local AGCO dealer. Pricey and have to be ordered but good availability.

I think it's an Oliver 1255 in red paint, which in turn is an Italian made import with Fiat engine. There was a post fairly recently which talked about these tractors (there were several series- 1250-55, 1350-55-65, 1450-55). My recollection is that the xx50 models had significant problems, but the xx55 and xx65 models were much improved and had parts availability either through Agco/Allis or New Holland, with whom they shared common Fiat engines.

Like most other sites, they deal with earlier built tractors only. I sent an email to them anyways but, not likely to have a positive response.

Thanks

What next?
