My 1755 loses hydraulic pressure for about 5 or 10 seconds when the system is under a load and I lose my brakes, steering and use of the front mounted loader. Then after this brief time it comes back good and sometimes not so good.Is it the relief valve or something.I don't know a whole lot about hydraulics. This is also dangerous!
Sorry to be long winded but got to find a cure.

Phil

You have a closed center system and the pumping rate is varied by the compensator valve. This small valve is probably sticking. Its located on the end of your pump, held on by 4 small bolts. Its about the size of 2 D cell batteries.Oil will flow out when removed. You can get the plunger out without removeing the 4 bolts if its not stuck too bad.If you here a buzzing sound allso, then you have air getting into the pump that causes the pump to stop pumping.Air leaks on the sucktion side must be stopped.

Larry the pump does make a buzzing sound when this happens. The reservoir is full though.I will check the compensating valve. Thanks for the input.
