How much does a 60 powerlift weigh?

Anyone know what a powerlift for a '48 Oliver 60 weighs? I'm trying to get my tractor in the 2,800 lb class at the pulls and I'll need to know how much the powerlift weighs. Thanks.

We pulled the internals out of ours but left the housing, removed approx. 65 lbs. The shifter tower is part of the power lift housing, so you will have to build one if you take off the housing. We made steel centers for 28" rims and now we make 2500 lb class with wheelie bars and a weight bracket on the frt. (with a 260 lb driver)

Thanks for the reply, Scott. I picked up a shifter tower for the 60 at that one Oliver auction in Wisconsin awhile back. Right now I'm in the process of looking for a cover to put there. Do you know off hand how much the housing itself weighs? Any estimates? Also, since it sounds like yours is a puller, is there any advantage to narrowing up the back end? Does it give you slightly more traction or power? I would think it would be a little easier to turn them if they were closer to the frame. Also, what size tires are on yours? I have cast iron centers, so that's why I'm having a hard time getting my 60 to get in the 2800 lb class. I just lost 20 lbs by cleaning out the toolbox though!

Jeff, I would say the housing (less gears) itself only weighs about 70lbs. I use 12.4/28 rear tires. I fabricated a set of steel dish centers to bolt onto 9 bolt pattern on oliver hubs. You will lose 500+ lbs quickly. Right now, mine is wider than most, but you don't lose as much torque when you narrow up. good luck
