A friend of mine has a 52 '77. The oil pressure barely comes of the guage. I read once that oliver made a "stronger spring" for the oil pump.
Has anyone experienced this? The tractor runs great, any ideas??? Thanks in advance!!!

Change the releif valve spring on the side of the block, install one out of a 1650.

The manual says that the idle speed pressure should be 10 lbs. It also says that the "rated speed" should be 12-15 pounds to Engine Serial Number 1099639. From 1099640 and up it should be 22-25 pounds. If you aren't registering the correct pressure the gauge could be at fault. Did you check it with another gauge?

There are a number of things to check.Make sure the restricter(small washer with a small hole) is in the base of the oil filter. Its under the pipe that sticks up. I have found the pipe and restrictor both missing.Check the main oil gallery relief valve, its on the right front of the engine.Look here before removeing the pan.
