Oliver Transfer Case on MFD

I have an Oliver MFD 2150. For the 3rd time in 4 years I have rear gear lube going into the transfer case and out the breather vent at a steady stream. I know the seals are out but this is happening every 200 hrs. Did Oliver/white have problems with this? What problems would I have if I removed the breather vent and capped the hole? I saw a 1900 MFD that had a hose running from the transfer case fill hole to the rear end. Would this solve my problem or create new ones? To say the least I am frustrated but would like to solve this problem. Oliver/white used this set up in the early 1960's and I believe that white used this or something similar on the 2-135 and 2-155's

Any Help would be appreciated.

Erik, I looked through my manuels and they did not show much of anything on the transfer case. I looked at my 2150 yesterday while washing it and my breather tube is open and clean and it does not appear that my transfer case is overfull. I agree that you have a seal that is going bad on you, but I dont know how to stop it. I would be afraid if you cap it or run a hose back that you would overfill the transfer case and cause the front drive shaft seal to start leaking. I think I would try to find out why you cant make that transfer case seal work, there has to be a reason that it will not seal, you may have to shim it or get a different seal from NAPA or something. Could be you have bearing in the transmission that is allowing the shaft going into the transfer case to move, is that a possibility?? Sorry I could not be more help.
Let me know what you find out in case mine starts to leak.

My 2150 MFWD has never had that problem. I have a pile of books and manuels on this tractor, let me do a little looking and see what I can find for you. Sounds like it is a seal somewhere leaking through into the transfer case. I will get back to you.
