Oliver 60 won't start

My 60 has spark, gas, and compression. Now it is not one of those stupid new things with a computer. Why the **** won't the son of a ..... won't start? I know the timing is close enough to start and the carb is adjusted correctly. Could I have adjusted the valves incorrectly. Thanks in advance for any help.

I just cleaned the carb and gave it a little shot of either. That didn't work. I know the ignition system is ok. The spark plugs are not even getting wet. I have been thinking about the cam being 180 degrees off. What do you think.

Larry might be on the right track. It's easy enough to tell. Mark the distributor housing where the #1 plug wire post on the cap is. Pull the cap. Pull all the plugs. Now, get the #1 cylinder to TDC on the compression stroke. You can use you finger over the spark plug hole, a piece of tissue paper, or pull the valve cover and make sure that both valves are closed. Of course, you can use the timing marks, if you have them.

Look at the position of the rotor. If it is not really close to the mark on the distributor, then the timing is off.

Easy to tell. Pull the valve cover, turn the engine over, and watch the valves.

Otherwise, start with the basics...
Shoot carb cleaner into the carb throat while you try to start it. If it starts, fuel delivery is the problem. If it won't, the ignition system is the problem.
