Oliver 77 generator wiring help

I have a 1953 oliver 77. Restoring it. Took the 1 wire alternator off and I am putting back the generator,,, here's my problem. The regulator has 3 terminals -gen- -bat- -L-. I have the bat terminal hooked to the ameter and the L hooked to the light terminal on the ign switch... Is this right????? ? Thanks in advance, John

Diagram is in Op manual. B goes to ammeter. L goes to centermost terminal on rotary switch. The spade sits flat vs around the perimeter. Korves Bros has fuse block, rebuilt rotary switch and wiring harness if you need them.
