am trying to locate a source of connecting rod, main , and cam bearings. I have a super good running 1969, model 1250 s/n742972 ,but the oil psi drops drastisly after 15 minutes run. This tractor has a spin on oil filter, could this or oil pump be the cause? There is no audible rod or main bearing knock.

Parts for the 1250 are getting rather hard to find.

As far aas the oil pressure problems, I would tend to think the oil pump is getting weak. If you can not find a reconditioned pump, you might try freshing up the "paddles" or vanes in the pump you have and sanding the end plate to remove any scratches there. Of course that is assuming it has the vane type pump.

Also, try stretching or shimming the pressure relief valve spring to increase the oil pressure.
