Left msg on the want ads, leaving one here also.

This weekend while changing fluids for the fall season I laid my tranny fill cap dipstick under the seat while filling. Then like a real dipstick I drove off without replacing it.

Lost the dipstick and seeking replacement. Any suggestions. Right now I have it covered with a sandwich back and clothes pin.
Thanks,
ShepFL

Shep, I you can't find one anywhere near you, I know where you can get one. However, it is about as far away as it can possibly be from you. It is at Everson Equipment in Everson, Washington. That's in the North West corner of Washington, just below the Canadian border. That's where I get my parts. He has some parts tractors in his warehouse and I seem to remember the hydraulic covers were there. If you are interested his number is (360) 966-3561. Good luck.

If you get a bigger Oliver, you can have a BIGGER dipstick!!!! :-) I saw an Oliver 1950 for sale ad somewhere around here for about $3,500 and I thought of you, but I forgot where it went. I will let you know if I find it. There are dipsticks everywhere aren't there.
