What carb is suppose to have come on the model 77. The one I'm working on has a zenieth can anyone one help me with what the model might be so I can get a kit for it. Sheldon

Original carburetors for Oliver "77" tractors:

Schebler TSX-363 or Carter UT-923-S

By 1960 Carter carburetors were no longer available, so Schebler is the one you want to look for replacement kits for.

The Super "77" Schebler or Zenith carburetors will not work (the dimensions are different)

The book I have has only the Schebler TSX-363 and the Carter UT-923-S listed for the 77. The Super 77 has a Zenith part no. 11580, model 267-8. Maybe someone with some experience can shed some light.

I have a 1950 77 under restoration. The factory carb is a Marvel-Schebler TSX-363. Repair kits are easily available at most Farm & Fleet type stores. Someone had put a Zenith on mine before I bought it, I absolutely could not find a kit for it. The salvage yards will sell you a TSX-363 very reasonably, however, don't settle for anything else. Do not use the Super 77 carb (differences in flow, jetting). E-Mail me if you need some more info.
