Need help to identify Oliver, don't know where to start!

I just bought a small parcel of property and it came with a tractor. I'm new to this so please forgive my ignorance on tractors.

It took a friend of mine to look underneath and see "Oliver" on the rear diff area. By looking at pictures in this forum I already had an idea that it was an Oliver.

I have no idea how on how to indentify this tractor. All I can do is describe some of it's destinguishing features, and maybe that will give somebody a clue as to the year and model. Also it might help me if someone could tell me where to look for a serial number.

The tractor has a low back seat which is rectangular. It also has a art deco looking cover plate over the radiator cap which is hinged to give access to the radiator.

Looking at the pics, I noticed different placements of exhaust pipe and breather pipe. On this tractor if you are standing on the left side looking at the carb and intake manifold, the breather canister (I don't think this has a breather pipe extending above the tractor)is towards the front of the tractor and the exhaust pipe (missing)is further back (maybe 18 inches or so) on the same side.

It has a hydraulic pump right in the center front below the radiator with a fluid tank located on the top side in front of the driver and off to the right side. There is a single piston hydraulic control to the right of the driver (I am not sure if that is orginal location or not).

I think there are only three guages on the dash (trying to remember) one of which is an amp meter located near the bottom of the dash plate (yellow in color) All of the guages have been smashed.

This baby is in really really rough shape but I would love to get it running. One of the first items on the agenda after figuring out what model/year is finding a new/used/rebuilt starter for it (located on the left, near the bottom and just in front of the housing in front of the driver). There is a hole where my starter used to be (sounds like a country song to me).

There is no pipe between the carb and the breather canister, there is no exhaust pipe, all the hoses will need replacing (gas, hydraulic, etc), the rad is empty, the wires, distributor, etc will need replacing as they are all cracked, there appears to be a alternator/generator which will need a belt. There is also a frayed fan belt which will need replacing.

Failing to find a placard there, look for casting numbers in the major pieces of the frame and transmission. There should be a letter followed by 3 or 4 numbers. For example, the front frame casting number for an 88 Oliver would say K100 underneath the rear of the frame.

Also, the casting date for the engine block will appear on the engines' right hand side. It might look something like: 3 7 50 which would be March 7th, 1950.

We are waiting to hear what you have found.

Here is what I have found so far. Behind the breather canister towards the front left side of engine (from sitting on tractor position) there was a metal plate, all of the graphics were worn off but there is a number stamped into the plate. The number is 412371, if I am reading the serial numbers section in this forum correctly I would have to assume that this corresponds to being a late 1949 Standard Model 60 tractor???

I also found the following numbers/letters in the order they appear from top to bottom on the left side of the engine block just behind the plate (a few inches further towards the back of the engine)

160120E
ALLOY-211
CWC
C308 (this number was in this location but on a small plate)
ENG S

Any assistance in deciphering these would be greatly appreciated.

Look under the steering wheel, about where your toes are when your're in the seat. There should be a metal placard with a model # and serial # on it. If the numbers are hard to see, rub a little chalk on it and wipe with your finger to make them stand out. With these numbers, all can be revealed! If the placard is missing, post back and let us know. One of the folks who knows a lot more about this will be able to help you identify the tractor.
