Oliver 77 LP How do I start it?

Just acquired an Oliver 77 LP, don't know if is after market or not. Has a line from a valve on top of tank to a device under the tank that looks like a filter, this filter has a seloniod on top with two wires that are not connected to anything.
A line runs from this to a gadget on the right side of the engine that has a large line running to the carb and another line to the bottom of the radiator. I have no idea the function of anything. Thanks.
