How light can a 50 cockshutt or E-5 co-op get with out stripping gears and ect?

mine weighs 5200 with 24.5 x32 tires and std. wide front end

Buda, I really don't know how close to original you have, but with the cast rear wheels and cast front wheels gas is 6041 lbs and diesel should be 6163 lbs (Nebraska test J for my data) And as far as gears go I would think the lighter you go the better they will hold up. As long as you have a good clutch and don't go nuts. Kent

I meant not wanting to pull out any gears or turning them down (thinner) on a lathe.
