Can anyone help me with some Oliver 55 information, such as Hp,value, etc. I am going to look at one tomorrow to take on trade that is supposed to be in fair condition. Thanks for any help you can give me. Take Care, Bob2

The 55 is actually the Super 55 and is rated at 30 HP. It is a very popular tractor and pulls in more money than say a Ford 9N. It has live PTO and a six speed transmission and two reverse and a three point hitch with draft control. It is the older brother to the 550. External hydraulics and power steering are a big bonus if the tractor is equiped with them. The low price for one in fair condition may be $2,500 but could be as high as $3,500. Power steering and external would bring that up and any better condition could raise it more. Depends on the location also. Hope that helps. Email me if you have any more questions.
