I found an 1855 that has been parked in a shed for the last 10 years with a blown motor. I can get this tracotr bought cheap. I have heard of some people repowering with Cummins motors. Is this true? What does it take. Can they slip right in place. What size of a Cummins does it take. Any other information is appreciated. I want the best/cheapest method.

You put a cummins 359 motor(also used in a dodge truck) and it runs better then new. E-mail me and I'll tell you more

Yeah we have a 1855 witha cumming in it. It is wonderful. The engine has lots of power compared to the Whakasha (Spelling) engine. Make sure you do a very good visual examiniation of the hydralic system. And even after this is done, expect leaks. It has been sitting for 10 years :(
