I'M back I need more info . how about toque setting on head bolts and rocker arm assm. and cold valve gap setting Thanks Ken

Ken,

According to the official Oliver Corp Service Manual for the "70" tractors, the torque values should be as follows:

Cylinder head cap screws 62.5 (62 1/2) ft/lbs for all EXCEPT the CORNER cap screws on the spark plug side of engine; they should be at 50 ft/lbs.

Rocker arm assembly support cap screws 22 ft/lbs

Valve clearance (cold) for both intake and exhaust valves .010" - .012" with .011" being the exact gap to be aimed for

Ken, here's what my book says Head bolts...62ft. lbs.; except left front and left rear corner bolts- only 50ft. lbs. Rocker arm bracket nuts...22ft. lbs. Manifold nuts...25 ft. lbs. Tappet clearance... .011"COLD . Good luck Jim
