Hello, Am getting ready to purchace this tractor from a local farm here in town.... it is still with the original owner..... sheet metal is fair to good(nothing that can't be fixed)...motor (starts and runs strong) transmission is in fine shape...there is a lil hydraulic leak... but from what i can tell even this isnt a problem (yet).

Steering is all complete with no worn parts..... the only real thing that i can find wrong with the tractor is the need for a paint job and new rear tires.

Can purchase this tractor for 2,300.00 (already gave a holding fee :) )

good investment or not

Thanks for your time
Sam

I had owned a 550 for about 8 years. It was an outstanding tractor. My father and I bought it for around $3,000 and it served us well. I would still have it today if an Oliver 1365 in excellent shape didn't become available to me. Not to worry though, I just go across the street to visit the 550 when I have to.

Outstanding! You can't know how much you'll love this tractor. I have seen one of these tractors sell at an auction that was incomplete, not running, no tires and very rusty bring $2500 for parts.

Thanks All

I did purchase the lil 550 Oliver today....actually just unloaded it off the tractor not more than 1 and 1/2 ago.... and ended up only giving 2,225.00 for it after all.

And get this this person still has all the orginal paper-work and manuals... of course she said that they would have to find them (but knew for certain that she saw them when they moved last year.

Anyway thanks for the replys..... but in the mean-time anyone know where i can find replacement gauges for my lil babe??

Thanks Again In Advance
Sam
