Oliver 55 series White decals on the hoods

My dad just bought a 1972 Oliver 1755 and it has that little White decal on the hood. I always thought this decal was only on '74 models and I know that much ain't true. I've seen one other 1755 with the White decal. Was this a factory option, like they were put on by special order? Anyone that knows, please tell me. I'd like to know. Thanks
