Oliver cracked block on Row Crop 70

I need some feedback on my options to repair a cracked block on an Oliver 70 Row Crop. The crack starts at the anti-freeze drain cock on the left side of the engine and it continues for about six inches to just before the starter mounting flange. There is no oil in the coolant nor is there coolant in the oil. Someone has already sealed it with silicone and this has seemed to work. Please leave any feedback you can. Thanks

I have my 70 apart but there should not be any oil on that side Gary fix sounds good but I would watch my temp . and not let It run hot

Clean the area real clean, Find the running end of the crack and drill and tap a hole for a 1/4" bolt and using some sealer on the threads just screw a long bolt into the hole and when the shank of the bolt bottoms against the block cut it flush. Then using a grinder vee the crack slightly. Mix some J-B Weld and patch the crack. If you are artistic enough you can make the surface match the surounding area and then when painted only you will know it has been patched.
