Oliver Disaster!!

Last Friday night a neighbor was operating a tricycle front end Oliver 77 with a front end loader, loading round bales of hay on a trailer. The guy that was helping him load the hay went over to the truck to get some straps and when he turned around the 77 was upside down on top of the boy. He was 23 years old and the tractor killed him. Please be careful with these older tractors and these narrow fronts. He leaves behind a wife and a young daughter.

Sorry to hear about the tragedy. Everyone should remember that you always carry the load low (no more than required to not drag in the dirt with a loader) whether it has a wide front or not. I have seen wide front loader tractors and big four wheel drive loaders with the wrong side up. Be careful out there.

I lost an uncle to a narrow front end tractor before I even got a chance to meet him. I've come close to being killed on one myself. If at all possible get a wide front end otherwise carry it low and drive it slow.

This really bothers me, It is more than a sad thing to lose a person like this especially with a familly. Ihave lost loved ones but this is really a great loss.
