A few months back, i purchase a case vac with wide front for $300. it was restored several years ago. it needed some tlc, but looked and ran pretty good. the other day, a man told me he had an oliver 770 he wanted to get rid of, as it was too big for what he was using it for. i told him i was interested, and we finally worked out an even trade for the vac. no cash either way. the 770 is narrow front. it does look pretty darn good, and runs like a top. tires are great. trans is great, has two speed also. did i come out alright? i have no idea what the 770 was worth, but i only had 300 in the vac. and it was not an oliver! what is the 770 worth?

WOW! i finally got to try out this tractor today. it is a powerhouse! i am amazed at the power and smoothness of this tractor. i put some pretty big loads behind it today, and it didnt phase it. i am extremely satisfied. and it does sound like i made one heck of a deal. thanks to all.

gary and craig are right.

a 770 will easily bring 2500-3000 in SW missouri depending on condition and features.

good trade.

This was a great trade! We had one of each on our farm (the 770 was a wide-front). The Oliver has a lot more power than the VAC(the 6 runs smoothly) and is more stable in the field.

If you ever want a VAC again, you'll have no problem finding several (the 770 is harder to find).

Saw a 770 sell at auction for 2650.00 a couple of months ago. Sounds like you made a great trade.
