Cleaning rust out gas tank

does anyone have a chemical that will cut the rust out of a tractor tank that was out of use for a few years.

Remove it from the tractor. Dump any gasoline and put in about a quart of clean limestone gravel. Tie the tank to the side of a rear wheel of another tractor and take it for a ride. Cleans the tank down to bare metal.

I do the same thing but just strap it to a garden tractor wheel with the tractor jacked up on blocks. I use a big hand full of nuts instead of gravel. Is cleaner and works and the junk bins always have plenty of nuts.
