How is the best way to change the rear wh on 70 w/cast 40 in to 38 steel thanks Ken

i have a friend who has a 1936? hart parr 70, it has cast 40" wheels. perhaps these wheels have been changed and this is what they had? who knows. i have probably got a set of rear hubs to fit 38" wheels. email me if you need them ken. Good Luck

There are two hubs (axle to wheel) for the 70. One as T L Blair described, mounted 38" tires on steel rims. The other hub bolted to a cast wheel for either 38" or 40" tire. The steel wheels clamped directly to the splined axle. You should be able to find the hubs for axle to steel wheel or the cast 38" wheel for the demountable rim in salvage yards as the model 70 was the highest production tractor that Oliver built (over 85,000). I have never seen an Oliver 70 with 40" wheels are the cast wheels bolted to splined hubs or are the splines cast right into
the wheel? I have one 70 that has 38" spoke wheels
and the hub is part of the wheel assembly. My other 70 has splined hubs with bolt on 38" pressed
steel wheels.

The spline are built into the wheel and the wheel is solid. At a glance you think there steel wheel. Ken
