I had to laugh out loud about birth defects. At 50 yo I am well beyond "child bearing" age so I guess Imron won't bother me too much! *LOL* btw..I kinda like Imron. It sprays easy enough and will color sand and buff pretty good. I am currently painting my 88 with Nason urethane. Nason used to be a competitor to Dupont but Dupont bought them out and changed a few formulas to include Dupont mixing colors and in doing so produced a very good, inexpensive (considering) alternative to the Dupont basecoat/clearcoat system. It has a high solids content and covers very well with 2 coats. I don't like the urethane primer as well as the URO primer but I like the price a lot better. about $100 a gallon less than URO. Nateman, Yes that is one way they are doing it. Considering the cost of and the durability of Centari, it makes no sense to even consider Dulux. I have an idea that even Centari MAY be on the way out as I have noticed a lot of paint codes will not cross over to Centari and the cost seems to be rising rather quickly for no apparant reason. What we are supposed to do is buy, install, maintain and have inspected, a UL list paint booth with after burners, pre and post filtering systems, fresh air pressurized paint suits, ect, ect, ect. Nateman, I promise those numbers I gave you are as close as you are going to get. I have spent several dollars and hours searching for the correct shades of green, red and yellow. Trust me, I had the local Dupont dealer call and get the updated tractor and equipement paint codes and they are very complete. Shoot, they even show the numbers for Marhyde, Sherman Williams and others just to make sure you have all the options availible.
