As some of you may know, what remains of Hecules Engines now operating in Massillon, Ohio as a reman and parts supply for their engines. I am wondering if anybody ever contacted them in regards to parts for their Oliver, Cockshutt or White tractors equiped Herc engines? If so, are they a good source of parts and engines and are their prices decent? Just curious.

I'm an Operations Manager for a Gas Compressor Rental company and we have some old, obsolete compressors with the 3400 driving them. For years and years we planned to phase them out but they keep renting them and our maintenance department has to support them. I can tell you that the parts have gone sky high, and you have to wait forever to get them. I was notified last week they will no longer sell engine kits, and the individual components will end up costing double the kit price when purchased individually.

We are about to start looking at retrofitting pistons and bearings real soon. We have a very close match on the piston but we have not gone much further with it.

I wish you all the luck. We do have several cranks, rods, heads, blocks and such if you ever need any 3400 hard parts.
