We are seeking information on the 1948 Oliver 90, a kerosene model which we assume was produced for export to the U.K. shortly after WWII as part of Lend/Lease. We assume that because gas rationing was still in effect in U.K. this is why it was kerosene powered. I think it may have been a forerunner of model 99 which was gas powered. A friend in England has one which his father bought new in 1948. We will be looking for a replacement seat (he is currently using a typist chair!).

Any information would be appreciated. Malvary

THINK ABOUT IT KEROSEEN WAS CHEEP AND GAS WAS NOT AVAILABE DURING OR FOR A SHORT PERIOD AFTER THE WAR. YOU OLIVER 90 RAN ON KEROSEEN FROM THE FACTORY, IF IT HAS A SMALL CYLANDER GAS TANK THAN IS IS A FACTORY KEROSEEN MODEL. ALMOST ALL THE TRACTORS I HAVE THAT WHERE MADE IN THAT TIME PERIOD WERE KEROSEEN MODELS. I AM NOT SURE IF IT WAS A EXPORT MODEL BUT IT SHOULD RUN ON KEROSEEN...
