Does anybody know what an Oliver - White 1870 is. Somebody told me it was basically the same thing as a MM - 955. I was thinking it was a little larger than that. I'm not sure but I was thinking it was closer to a White 2 - 150 with the large MM 585CID 6-cylinder. There were two for sale in my area for $4,800. Does this sound like a fair price?

a white 1870 is the same as a MM 955, also has the same motor as MM G900. it is around the 98 hp range, we have one, excellent tractor, over 12 000 hours and still used everyday summer and winter

Are you sure that is not an 1865? I havent been able to find an 1870 in any listing of Oliver production cataloging. The 1865 is basically a Minnie-Mo G 950 and was sold under the 1968 Nebraska Test No 978 for the Minnie-Mo G900-G950.

It's just a green G955. Gas had a 425 Engine and Dsl was 451

The G955 was the Minneapolis Moline yellow and white version and the 1870 was painted red and white for the Canadian market. Charles City plant did not paint the G955 Oliver Green and market as such. If it's painted green, was done by someone other than the plant.
