Can anyone tell me if there is any way to tell the differince between a 66 motor and a super 55 or super550. Is there a casting number on the block that tells what the motor is. please help.

If they are the same age the only differance is the exasht and intake manifold.The non super 66 should have an older casting number.The old numbers started 1M00 later went to 1M100 then M100.Possibly a serial number could be used but there is no real reason to do so as all other parts will interchange.
